I used to hate short gel nails with square nails. For some reason, I think they look fake. Now, I only ask for square nails at the nail salon.
Through trial and error, I slowly discovered that I like square nails. Concerning the shape of the nails, each person’s hand and nail bed are unique. What looks good in one way is not good in another.
Because our hands are so unique, square nails look great on me, but round nails might look better on others.
Also, I find that square nails with rounded corners work incredibly well. This shape complements my nails and my hands without appearing too rough.

Look at the pictures and try to pick out what looks like your hands and nails. It would help if you observed the length and shape of the fingers and the depth of the nail bed. Try different nail shapes at the salon and see what you like. That’s what I did, but it’s a bit pricey, and you’re also stuck with nail shapes you don’t like.
