Grunge is making a comeback. grunge acrylic nail was mainstream in the ’90s, first popularized by Nirvana and Pearl Jam. In the beginning, grunge was a small subculture, but now the image of grunge is ubiquitous.
Not only is sloppy clothing popular, but sloppy nails are also popular. I’ve always liked slightly edgy nails, and scruffy nails fit my bill!
How to do grunge nail art?
If you like design, you can do trash manicures at home. You’ll need various tools, so I recommend buying a set of nail brushes with whatever color you want.
Before getting your hands on a manicure, you need to plan your manicure. There are so many different ways to do a grunge manicure, so it’s a lot easier if you pick a style before you start.
There are also some excellent grunge nail art stickers on Etsy. This is where I buy all my sticky nails because they are high quality and tend to last a while. Plus, they look supernatural!
Otherwise, you’ll want to check with a manicurist to make sure they can get the design you want. Every grunge nail art design is unique and requires a variety of techniques.
